A New Dawn

In the words of Steve Jobs, “if you really look closely, most overnight successes took a long time”.  Some folks reading this blog will understand immediately the aptness of this quote in relation to Clearspan.  With over 10 years strong heritage in the hosted Cloud telephony space and 40 years of leading-edge innovation in total, Clearspan is anything but a new company or overnight success.  Breaking away from our parent company is an exciting evolutionary step that provides new independent status and all the accompanied freedoms to innovate without being impeded.  Clearspan prides itself on working in collaboration with its major partners and customers to produce a level of support that is unrivalled in the industry.  It is these principles that will form the core foundations of the new Clearspan organisation moving forward.

Our world is certainly a different place from just a short time ago with the emergence of a global pandemic resulting in communications being thrust into the limelight on both a professional and personal level.  Increased remote working and new ways to keep in touch with our families are just some of the changing everyday patterns that define the new ‘normal’.  Choosing the right communications partner is more important than ever.  Whether you are looking to deploy a new service or bridge your existing solution, Clearspan will provide you with the tools and confidence to succeed.

Keeping the previous observations in mind, the Clearspan team continue to not only build on our traditional technology experience and values but also drive a new technology vision.  The evolution of Clearspan offerings will very much be influenced by the changing demands of our customers while never losing sight of the core values that have served the company so well.  The key focus of the Clearspan technology vision is to blend leading edge technologies with our core communications platform to enable agility, flexibility and collaboration for our end users.  The bridging of traditional Voice Over IP (VOIP) telephony with exciting, evolving technologies layered on to Clearspan’s solutions provides a unique and flexible service to fit business needs.  Let Clearspan take you on a journey as your trusted communications partner.

Chris Boulton

Chris Boulton is Clearspan's CTO. He is an industry expert with over 20 years’ experience involved with the evolution of Voice Over IP(VOIP) and leading edge Unified Communications technologies. Chris has made significant contributions to international industry organizations such as the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) and Java Community Process (JCP), publishing numerous standards, and co-authored the book titled ‘Understanding SIP Servlet 1.1’ by Artech House published in 2009.
